In honor of Arne Jacobsen

Fritz Hansen's best selling design, the Series 7™ chair is relaunched in an entirely new Series 7 collection.

In honor of Arne Jacobsen, the original design icon is brought back into its original form in a series of wooden veneer variations. The natural material was the original material chosen by Danish architect  Arne Jacobsen to furnish the Series 7 design and is an important part of Scandinavian design history due to its genuineness. The new series is available in Maple, Ash, Beech, Cherry, Oregon Pine, Elm, Oak, Walnut and Dark Stained Oak. In addition, nine new colors are also being introduced, inspired by the original color pallet designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1968.

La compagnie est surtout connue pour ses chaises Swan (MC) et Egg (MC), toutes deux conçues en 1958 pour l'Hôtel Royal à Copenhague. Résultat d'une collaboration inspirée et ambitieuse entre Arne Jacobsen et les ébénistes les plus talentueux de Fritz Hansen, elles sont aujourd'hui des emblèmes du style, reconnues internationalement. Pendant le mois de décembre, Avant-scène présentera dans sa salle d'exposition l'édition limitée de la chaise Swan (MC) en cuir blanc, ainsi que les chaises Egg (MC), Ant (MC) et Series 7 (MC).

A new addition at Avant-scène

Republic of Fritz Hansen™ is the latest line to be added to the Avant-scène catalogue, and the entire Avant-scène team is excited to be able to showcase these modern classic pieces.

Republic of Fritz Hansen™ is probably best known for the Swan™ and Egg™ chairs, both initially designed in 1958 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Today, they are internationally recognized style icons, the result of a challenging inspirational collaboration between Fritz Hansen's most talented cabinet makers and Arne Jacobsen.

During the month of December, Avant-scène will have the limited edition Swan™ chair in white leather in the showroom, along with the Egg™ chair, and Ant™ and Series 7™ chairs.
